4. Coexist Coffee Co.

The directions to Coexist Coffee Co. may appear a little suspicious, but those who take the risk will be rewarded with a secret rooftop café. Unlike the industrial location's dismal decor, Coexist Coffee Co. is a sun-strewn setting with understated charm. After a three-month hiatus, the cafe reopened with a restrained, industrial-chic style instead of its distinctive half-white, half-red walls. Those courageous enough to face the heat can dine on the rooftop patio, which has partial views of the greenery in Bukit Batok Nature Park.

1932 Story, a café located in the former station master's quarters near the Bukit Timah Railway Station community node, serves local meals, fusion flavors, pastries, and more.


The historic railroad crew quarters are one of two original buildings painstakingly restored within the new Rail Corridor community node. The building appears attractive from the exterior, with red brick walls and clay roof tiles.
