A single scoop of ice cream costs S$3.50, while a double scoop costs S$6.50. For that Instagram-worthy shot, personalize their Cookie Sandwich ($8.50), which includes your choice of ice cream, topping, sauce, and cookie. Bring on the rainbow sprinkles!

Get the Birthday Cake Cookie ($3.80), which has a marshmallow inside that gives you the visual pull shot as you break the cookie apart, to take it up a notch.

2. Naked Ice Cream

Naked Ice Cream is open every day until 2 AM! Another budget-friendly café, their dessert options cost less than $10. If you want waffles and ice cream, go for the Plain Waffle ($3.80) or Charcoal Waffle ($4.80), with toppings costing an extra $1 each. The flavor Hokkaido Milk ($4.80) is a "must-try!" It has a milky flavor and a creamy texture.

3. No Horse Run

Northsiders will be pleased to learn that No Horse Run, located at Yishun Street 11, is conveniently close. No Horse Run, which opened in 2021, serves locally inspired Singaporean flavors such as Cereal Mai Pian, Honey Stars, and Green Apple Yakult.


Get their Pandan Gula Melaka ($6.50) for a classic twist on the traditional waffle, which comes drizzled with your choice of homemade sauce - Classic Maple Syrup, Childhood Milo, House-Made Jam, or Caramelised Cookies. Classic flavors are priced at $4.20 for a single scoop and $8.20 for a double scoop.

4. Ice Bar

Icebar is a late-night dessert café in Hougang Green Shopping Mall, with funky neon signs and custom-made decor. Pair your ice cream with a delicious chewy waffle with an exterior crisp while you relax on your friends' comfy sofas.


Start with their Waffles with Double Scoop ($12.60) for a sweet treat; if you prefer something sweeter, try the Tiramisu or Honeycomb Snickers ice cream. Alternatively, for a good mix of sweet and sour flavors, try their Apple Strudel ($3.90) ice cream.


5. Burnt Cones

Burnt Cones serves Gelato with unique fusion flavors and brunch food until late. Choose a cone ($1) - light, medium, or dark - to accompany your gelato. The light (least burnt) has a buttery flavor, the medium is a regular waffle cone, and the dark (burnt) has a slight bitterness. If you want something sweet and sour, try their special flavors Coconut Lychee ($6) or Mango Passion ($6). The sweetness of the gelato did not overpower the flavors.

6. Lickers

Lickers is a busy hangout known for its cozy interior, innovative ice cream flavours, and delicious small bites. When an extra scoop of ice cream on a waffle costs only S$2.50 at Lickers, it's difficult to resist.

The ice cream parlor handcrafts all of its treats, but the Yakult Oreo and Cookie Monster are must-tries. A single scoop costs $3.50 and a double scoop costs $6.


7. Oblong

Oblong is another exceptional café that is well-known among night owls for its sugar-laden waffles. Although located far from the heartlands (speaking as a Westsider), their a la carte buttermilk waffles (starting at $5.70), premium ice cream flavors such as Cookies and Cream ($6.70), and supreme flavors such as S'mores ($7.70) are unquestionably worth the special trip.


If you can't decide, we recommend the Classic Red Velvet Waffle Combo ($11), which includes an extra scoop of ice cream and a drink.


8. Lola Faye

Lola Faye is a Muslim-owned cafe in the trendy Jalan Besar neighborhood. Desserts are more elevated, such as Charcoal Blackout Waffles ($7) and Gelato Croissants ($9.80). I did enjoy their more unusual ice cream flavors, such as Ondeh Ondeh, and the waffles, which were crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside, were memorable. If you want something savory, they also serve Egg Mayo ($5.90) and Chicken Mayo ($6.90) Croissants, as well as wraps.


Lola Faye Cafe, owned by Muslims, is open until 2 AM, making it one of the best post-dinner dessert spots for those with a sweet tooth. Enjoy the tropical-themed interior while indulging in the decadent Charcoal Blackout Waffles (S$7) with a scoop of Gelato ($5).


9. Hay Gelato

Hay Gelato specializes in premium gelato with smoky flavors. Pandan Lemongrass, Uji Matcha, Preserved Orange Peel, and Brown Sugar Rosemary are among the intriguing flavors available.


A single scoop of gelato costs $4.20, with premium flavors costing an extra $1 and waffles costing $5.50. There will be a total of 12 flavors available at any given time, including intriguing flavors like Balsamic Strawberry, Truffle, Meyer Lemon, and Yuzu.


10. Smile Dessert

This four-story dessert cafe is located in Bugis, and it replaces Nunsongyee Korean Dessert Cafe, a now-defunct bingsu shop. The hot pink exterior of the building is a striking sight, all dressed in pink shades. When you first walk in, you'll notice lighter colors, but once you reach the second and third floors, it's time to get your cameras ready.


11. Wan Wan Thai Café

Wan Wan Thai Cafe is located on the second floor of Bencoolen Street, directly above Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen, and is well hidden from many passers-by on the ground floor.


Its interior is also spotless and well-lit by natural light, making it an ideal location for Instagram-worthy photos with your friends. We sat by the window, where the faint thrum of the busy roads outside provided an extremely comfortable setting for a casual conversation over dessert.


12. Waffl.

Waffl, a Muslim-owned cafe in Jurong East, opened on April 2nd and offers an affordable selection of waffle dishes, baked goods, and beverages.

If you are looking for Gelato and Acai Bowls at odd hours of the evening, you will be pleased to recognize that this coffee shop is open until 2 AM every day. Every single day, indeed.


The gelato selection is quite extensive. Oolong Osmanthus, Stracciatella (gelato with delicious chocolate chip flakes), Coffee Chip, 85% Dark Delicious Chocolate, and Blue Pea Lemongrass are among the more intriguing flavors. The most popular are Delicious Chocolate Extravagance, Red and also Green Apple Yakult.
