60 Alley Bakes & Coffee: Waffles & coffee served at the back alley of Haji Lane

A charming and amiable couple owns this cozy cafe, which is nestled in one of Arab Street's quiet alleyways – with a hole-in-a-wall concept, this may just be Singapore’s first back-alley F&B joint. The cafe has a cozy atmosphere and offers one of the most reasonably priced dessert selections around.

Waffles with peanut butter, chocolate, kaya, etc. served with ice cream potong are delicious with a touch of local flavor from 60 Alley Bakes & Coffee, and they're reasonably priced too. This offers visitors an opportunity to experience Singapore's classic style. Where else can you get this in Singapore?

The comfortable, laid-back atmosphere of the shop is perfectly complemented by the soft and thick waffles and a cup of coffee. Waffles start from S$3, with an additional S$1 – SS2 for premium flavours such as Cream Cheese or Biscoff. Or you can take it up a notch and make it a set with ice cream potong for S$5.50.

Naturally, coffee is 60 Alley Bakes and Coffee's primary beverage selection. We got the Iced Caramel Latte (S$5.50), Iced Vanilla Latte (S$5.50), and Hot Latte ($4). Oh you could say we had a delightful time, with the owner as well as the food and ambiance of the place.

As your list of "cafés to chill in Singapore" grows longer, here's another one that's well worth the trip.
