Everyone has probably heard that our famed Golden Mile Complex is closing owing to a successful en bloc sale. It's unfortunate that one of our old and famous places - which certainly has a lot of memories for the regulars at Golden Mile Complex - is closing down and getting renovated.

Golden Mile Complex may appear to be old, yet it has always been alive thanks to our Thai friends in Singapore and our pioneer generation.

Thai restaurants, grocery stores, and bars, among other businesses, dominate the commercial section at Golden Mile Complex. Even though there are some differences, the Thai culinary scene in the Golden Mile Complex has an almost identical atmosphere to that of Thailand. It has grown into a community over time, attracting Thai residents of Singapore who work or visit businesses there and locals who like shopping there.

Don't worry if you're missing the Thai booths at Golden Mile Complex. The majority of them have been relocated, and the best part is that some of them are still close to the Golden Mile Complex. More information on your favorite Thai vendors' details may be found at AroiMakMak!

Those traveling by bus to Malaysia will soon have to adjust to a new terminal stop when departing or arriving in Singapore. Following the sale, bus operators who utilize the Golden Mile Complex as a bus stop will need to find a new location.

But it's not all doom and gloom.

According to the Urban Redevelopment Authority, developers will be required to preserve the facade and structure of the building if it is designated as a preserved building in October 2021.

We visited the Golden Mile Complex recently, and this is its current situation:
