Calling all chocolate lovers out there, we've found the perfect place for you to dive in chocolate!

This article is for all the chocolate lovers out there, including myself. When we talk about cafes, it’s always coffee and pastries that come to mind. It’ll be hard-pressed for us chocolate-lovers to be able to enjoy our chocolate with different types of confections.

Recently, Take Five SG discovered something unique in Katong, a place where sweet tooths like us would definitely love to hang – Awfully Chocolate. It is their flagship store and it was previously a humble small shop, which underwent a makeover and has now grown into a cozy café that serves freshly handmade chocolate cakes and desserts as well as awfully good dinner and brunch.

We had the Steak and Cheese Panini (S$22) – grilled Angus steak with caramelized onions pressed with Italian bread, served with wild rocket salad and marinated tomatoes. The meat was a good deal, with the cheese oozing out of the bread. They sure are generous when it comes to pleasing their customers.

We decided to go sweet and savory and had some of the baked goods. We had Kouign Amann (S$6), and Chocolate Croissant (S$7), and I must say, the crunchiness on both pieces of bread had the perfect ratio. We ended our delightful afternoon lunch with Really Fresh Chocolate Milk (S$6) and Mocha (S$9).

Awfully Chocolate menus vary – different timing offers different dishes. So, make sure you plan before making your trip down to the café to avoid missing your desired grubs. But even if you miss it, you won’t be disappointed with whatever that they’re serving.
