Chatuchak Night Market, one of the most iconic Bangkok destinations, is now in Singapore!

Chatuchak Singapore is back for two months in 2023, and the market will be open from now until April 2nd. Expect 60 local vendors and 120 Thai exhibitors selling street food, clothing, handicrafts, and antiques—talk about a true Thai experience. From 4 PM to 10 PM on Tuesdays through Sundays, at the Grandstand South Car Park.

It's a picnic in the park! Settle down at the outdoor dining area with your loot; there's plenty of space to eat your snacks and food. Some days can be extremely hot, so choose a table in the shade or bring your sunglasses.

Begin by nibbling on the small items before moving on to the more ambitious offerings at the market. There are approximately 100 Thai vendors, so mark out what you want and get there quickly. You'll be spoiled for options. We went around the market a few times, yet we still can’t decide what to eat, despite feeling very hungry.

After a few rounds around the market, here’s what we bought:

1. Samui Halal Lok Lok

Definitely a must-try! You’ll be taken aback by the variety of Lok Lok stalls over at Chatuchak Night Market. You’ll never miss a stall that sells Lok Lok. For additional taste, try out their Thai green curry sauce, it stings straight when it enters your mouth.

2. Thai Roti Pancakes

Banana Nutella pancakes are a popular snack in Thailand, but they're not as common in Singapore. However, at the Chatuchak Night Market here, you can stop by this Thai Roti Pancakes stall—look for their purple tent—for a huge variety of halal-certified takes on the snack. They are also from Thailand!

3. Soi Carnivore

Get your meat-loving friends together and wait in line for Soi Carnivore. This Chatuchak Singapore food stall sells $10 chicken bites and $12 beef ribeye chunks that are sure to satisfy.

4. Yumcha.SG

To quench your thirst and satisfy your sweet tooth, head to Yumcha.Sg's pop-up in the night market. Choose from flavours such as Taro, Thai Milk Tea, and even Bubble-gum. To beat the heat, the stall also sells Honeycomb Ice Cream (starting at $8). These sundaes come with vanilla ice cream dressed in a honey drizzle, served with an actual piece of honeycomb. For an additional $1, you can add toppings like Butterscotch Drizzle, Oreo Crumbs, and more.

5. Paper Bag Thai Tea

You never really fulfill your trip to Chatuchak Night Market if you don't get yourself a Thai milk tea. If you can spot it in the crowd, treat yourself to an icy cold cup (or bag) of tea from this stall. Other beverages available include Thai Bandung and green or red soda.

If you’re tired from all the walking and carrying the bags of goodies, Original Thai Massage is available there for you to go for a quick traditional Thai massage. Choose between pampering your feet and untying your shoulder knots, or both. It's $15 for ten minutes, but if you want to go all out, a half-hour session will set you back $35.

Not to mention the retail booths! There are over 80 retail vendors registered—local businesses selling vintage shirts, bags, pet products, trinkets, and other items, as well as henna artists!
