Exciting Events happening in January 2024 you don't want to miss!

New year, new me? Nah! More things to look forward to in the new year. 2023 has brought with it fresh ventures, activities, and cafés. However, let's move on from the past and anticipate what will happen in January 2024. In the next months, there will be more!


1. Light to Night

January 2024 will see the return of Light to Night Singapore, an annual event that uses the theme Reimagine to light up the Civic District with stunning art pieces. The intriguing lineup for 2024 will inspire viewers to reconsider art in a new light.


Over 60 pieces of art and events are scheduled for this year's festival, which will take place all over the Civic District. Festival-goers can enjoy a variety of food and beverage options in the Art X Social Festival Village, which is back at St. Andrew's Road.

VENUE: Hosted by National Gallery Singapore, with installations around the Civic District

ADMISSION: The festival is free for all, with ticketed programmes.


2. ARTBOX 2024


The all-day indoor night festival is back! There are two new zones and two new events with cash prizes of up to $888 up for grabs. The theme of this year's fair is "Avenue," which is a mash-up of several worldwide cultures and viewpoints. Over 105,000 square feet of the Singapore Expo will be occupied!

3. TurboCharged

Enjoy exhilarating go-kart races against the backdrop of the famous Marina Bay skyline. As part of the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2024, this event is hosted by KF1, the company behind Singapore's biggest go-kart circuit. Refreshment stalls for drivers and spectators will also be present on the course.

4. Flavours of Tomorrow

The first-ever alternative food festival, featuring educational seminars and workshops along with sustainable sourcing and alternative protein. The Flavours of Tomorrow Festival will present delectable food items that have a good ecological impact. Through a wide range of activities, you'll see cutting-edge food technology in action. This includes seminars, workshops, a sustainable food and retail market, and more.

5. IRVINS X Super Mario pop-up

Together, the two brands are offering us three delicious flavors: Hot Boom Salted Egg Potato Chips, Truffle Potato Chips, and Salted Egg Fish Skin. The package will have a Mario theme and will include the well-known figures of Princess Peach, Bowser, and Mario. 


Visit their interactive pop-up event at VivoCity to witness this unique partnership firsthand. There will be games, photo opportunities, an Irvins spin wheel, and more. There will also be limited-edition snack pouches available for purchase.

6. Ice Magic

Enter a fanciful world of icy delights at Ice Magic: Winter Wonderland, a 3,000-square-meter playground at the Bayfront Event Space with a snow and ice theme. 


Enjoy exhilarating thrills and wintertime fun at this 98-meter-long snow slope, which includes an ice merry-go-round, a double-lane ice slide, a five-lane mini ice slide, and more.

7. Immersive Disney Animation


A 360-degree experience featuring interactive floors will undoubtedly immerse you in the Disney universe. Experience iconic songs and scenes from over 40 of Disney's beloved animated films—from timeless classics to contemporary blockbusters—where guests will feel as though they are part of the narrative thanks to state-of-the-art responsive projectors with millions of pixels.

8. Dahlia Dreams: Year of the Dragon

Dahlia Dreams, Gardens by the Bay's yearly Chinese New Year floral show, comes to life in the Year of the Dragon with a big centerpiece: a nearly 7-meter-tall dragon that rises majestically amidst more than a thousand dahlias of various sizes, shapes, and colors. The dragon spans over 15 meters in length. Cut and preserved flowers in vibrant shades of red and yellow, expertly placed by hand, embellish a portion of the dragon's scales.

9. ART SG 2024

Leading galleries, installations, provocative panel discussions, and performances will all be featured at ART SG. Global art fair with more than 15 outstanding galleries from 33 different nations. However, you should also anticipate works by modern and up-and-coming artists worldwide. Nine galleries exhibiting artists at the forefront of new technology are featured in this year's event. Imagine datasets turned into computer-generated art that addresses social issues and abstract artworks.

10. COMMA 2024

SCAPE's creative art festival is back, featuring street dance performances, a music festival, and more. Comma is a Creative Arts festival held at SCAPE that highlights Singapore's up-and-coming creatives, like as musicians, dancers, and artists, while also reinventing the Somerset Belt as a venue for live busking performances.

11. Our Children by Tang Da Wu

Tang Da Wu's installation for this performance will be re-staged by Art Outreach. The piece alludes to a Chinese opera parable that emphasizes the importance of teaching the next generation and maintaining filial piety.

12. A Tapestry of Kindness


This year marks the third iteration of the film photography print exchange. There will be prints by film photographers on exhibit. Grab a print for yourself, and give the photographer a thank-you message in exchange.

13. Eat Play Love


The late Dr. Tan Kheng Khoo's family house, a mid-century modernist building designed by the late architectural pioneer William Lim, serves as the exhibition space. This exhibition looks at future landscapes, architectural legacy, and family life.

14. Art After Dark


Gillman Barracks' flagship evening open house, Art After Dark, combines fascinating visual art with live music that is sure to electrify.


Don't miss the premiere of S.E.A. Focus, a boutique art fair organized by STPI - Creative Workshop & Gallery, which takes place this edition. 25 international and regional galleries will showcase unique works of art ranging from modern masters to up-and-coming artists.

15. ARTWALK 2024


Every year, ARTWALK, a diverse public arts festival, takes place in the Little India and Katong-Joo Chiat cultural districts. The festival, which includes live music, performances, workshops, and wall murals, attempts to highlight the vibrancy of our local history. After two years, ARTWALK 2023 returns to on-site multisensory art experiences and invites viewers to imagine how our culture could develop in different directions.

16. Aliwal Urban Art Festival 2024

The Aliwal Urban Art Festival is the ideal venue for immersing yourself in Singapore's vibrant urban art scene. Meet the artists, performers, and creatives that are pushing the boundaries in Singapore every day at this one-day event, which includes graffiti competitions, walking tours of Kampong Gelam's street art, and a retrospective exhibition by the urban art collective RSCLS.

17. Music Day Out! 2024

Independent music event with an incredible line-up of local and regional performers. Putting on an inspiring exhibition of up-and-coming artists. The innovative selection of Singaporean musicians for this forthcoming edition includes all-girl hardcore trailblazers. Heroes of shoegaze, fuse Blush, classic math-pop artists, and a lot of other things.
