Hidden In Clementi Lies A Cafe That Serves Unique Gelatos, Insta-worthy Smoked Waffles & Good Coffee

It was a good night, I was cramming down on some pratas and good hot teh with my friends on Sunset Way as we were nearby. After the feast, we walked around the area as it was relatively a new place for us due to its location being tucked in the perimeter of Clementi. That was when we stumbled upon Burnt Cones. Despite being sated, we knew we had to indulge in the tasty gelatos.

Gelatos are the perfect dessert for us to end our night with. Apart from us taking a fancy to the menu, it was the vibe that it had – calming, with a laid-back setting, which allows us to unwind spontaneously. As it was located under a block, their staff strictly ensured that their patrons controlled their volume after 10 PM. This is why it had that tranquil effect, which you rarely get from a café away from the neighborhoods. Perfect for anyone that prefers to enjoy their dessert quietly.

We knew we were not about to nosh to our hearts' content because we just had a fulfilling supper, so we decided to go light. As soon as we entered to see the menu for the Gelatos, we were spoilt for choices! Burnt Cones offers an array of Gelatos with unique fusion flavors, making it hard for us to decide.

Eventually, we decided to get our own Gelato! We tried the Milk & Cookies (S$6), Mango Passion (S$6), and a Premium Double Scoop (S$9) of both flavors. The flavors that we tried had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The sweetness of the ice cream wasn’t too strong to supersede the flavors.

Apart from Gelatos, Burnt Cones serves specialty coffee by Concrete Ground and Glyph Supply Co. All you west-siders, now you know where you can get a good coffee fix! On the whole, Burnt Cones has a good concept going on. I’d come back soon to try the brunch menu!
