1. Canterbury Road

More known as a pre-wedding shoot location, this hidden picnic spot received a lot of attention ever since it went viral on TikTok. The gentle green slope accompanied by the vast open space and blue skies makes it a perfect destination for picnic-goers to enjoy a breath of fresh air and scenic views. The recommended timing to come here would be past 6 in the evening as it is not blazing hot and the golden hour makes it an even better trip with amazing photos to go home to and reminisce!

This is a perfect destination for families as the natural sloping greenery is great for kids to have some fun and roll down though we’re not going to be responsible for this!

For adventure seekers, you’ll be invited to a meandering path that will lead to an even more secluded field. If you’re lucky, you might just bump onto a hidden swing! Do try to spot some old colonial houses if you have the time! Well, what are you waiting for? Swing over to Canterbury road for a good evening with your family 😊

2. Fort Canning Park

Located in central Singapore, Fort Canning Park is a paradise for history enthusiasts and nature lovers. A place of adventure and exploration, plenty of historical ruins trails used during the World War 2 can be found here. Near to the Fort Gate, you will be able to find the remnants of a fortress from the 19th century.

After exploring, we would highly recommend you to have your picnic at Fort Canning Green. The spacious grass will definitely fit whoever you’re bringing with you. Settle down on the higher ground to have a better view of the park itself. The gentle slope is also used to host events like movies under the star where you can lay your mat anywhere on the slope and watch a movie in the park with your loved ones, just like an outdoor cinema. Other installations in the park also include historical gardens and artifacts, a maritime corner, and fragments from World War 2. This iconic park is a unique combination of nature and history.

Why not have a peaceful afternoon here and learn something at the same time?

3. Esplanade Roof Terrace

Esplanade Roof Terrace is a unique place to have your picnic. Not surrounded by your customary floral and fauna, it is situated on the rooftop of Esplanade. Since the size of this open rooftop is limited, one may not necessarily be able to lay your mat. However, there are benches available for you to rest on accompanied by the views of Singapore’s city skyline.

Come over here and witness it for yourself!
