For those who enjoy chocolate, Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie has recently opened its flagship store on Dempsey Hill. This location has its very own chocolate factory, a chocolate café, a retail store, and a DIY station where customers can create their chocolate bars.

This can be a chocolate café where you can temporarily put the generic chocolates away and switch to something more artisanal, in the best way possible, even though it doesn't quite have the size and appearance of Willy Wonka's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."

The Creation Station, the first of its kind in Singapore, commands attention with its two chocolate fountains and 16 jars of toppings that can be added to your DIY chocolate bar ($21.90), which would be ready in only 20 minutes.

You might want to try the Bean-to-Bar Journey ($18) tasting package, which is a miniature depiction of the cacao's journey on a little wooden tray. It also serves as a fantastic introduction to the offerings of the chocolate.
A Cacao Bean Dark Chocolate Dragee and a Cacao Husk Lemon Tea are served first. Before the delightful concoctions of a Double Soy Caramel Bon Bon and a Chocolate Passionfruit Sable, a well-known 66% Chocolate Bar follows.
The cacao beans used to make the chocolate at Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie are all sustainably sourced from Asian farmers in nations including Malaysia, India, and the Philippines. You can watch the magic happen in the glass-fronted kitchen on Dempsey Hill, where these beans are roasted and processed! It was a pleasant experience, no doubt the store was automatically a romantic place to bring your special one to.
