Top Locations to View New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Singapore

Are you anticipating Singapore's New Year's Eve fireworks in 2024? With a fireworks extravaganza, mind-blowing light projections, adrenaline activities like a go-kart arena, Christmas festivities, and thrilling live performances, the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2024 already seems like a spectacular event! We've compiled a list of the locations to watch the NYE 2024 fireworks!

In addition to setting up camp in the Marina Bay area in the early evening, rooftop bars, parks, and outdoor dining establishments are great places to witness the fireworks. Enjoy a toast to your New Year's resolutions while taking in the fireworks at these prime spots on the island.

1. The Helix Bridge

The Helix, also known as the Helix Bridge or Double Helix, is a popular pedestrian bridge that links Marina Centre and Marina South. It's one of the top spots to watch the fireworks on New Year's Eve in Singapore for free! It's always worthwhile to make the trek solely for photo ops since this Instagram-worthy bridge is exquisitely illuminated at night.

2. Marina Barrage

One of the most popular spots to catch spectacular views of the 2024 fireworks show over the Bay is this reservoir. We strongly advise bringing refreshments so you can secure a decent place ahead of time.

3. Mount Faber Peak

Mount Faber Peak, which is home to the Singapore cable car attraction, is well-liked by families seeking a breathtaking hike or stroll through the lush surroundings. This hilltop location is ideal for a romantic get-together, even though the view of the fireworks is far.

4. Bay East Garden

It is likely too crowded for you to enjoy the fireworks from Gardens by the Bay; we suggest going to Bay East Garden instead. There are expansive views of the Marina Bay Skyline without the crowds from this position, which is across from Supertree Grove and the two conservatories. The little ones can also scoot and skate while they wait for the fireworks show to start.

5. Esplanade Roof Terrace

Visit Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay's outdoor rooftop terrace, for a spectacular view of the fireworks shows. The Marina Bay Sands and the Esplanade grounds will provide a stunning backdrop for you to enjoy the fireworks.

6. Singapore Flyer

The greatest bird's eye view of Singapore's New Year's Eve fireworks can be enjoyed from the Singapore Flyer, but get in early as the tickets get sold out quickly! Given that you still need to purchase a ticket for the flyer, it's a bit of a hack entry into the greatest "free" locations to see the fireworks.

7. Funan

Funan's rooftop, where Singapore's urban rooftop farm is located, is the ideal place to watch the fireworks. Here, you'll be as close to the action as possible with unobstructed views of the Singapore skyline.

8. Marina Bay Sands SkyPark

It's obvious now that you'll need to cough up some cash to enjoy one of Singapore's greatest National Day fireworks experiences. The Marina Bay Sands Skypark offers the greatest views. You'll enjoy a bird's eye perspective of Marina Bay and the Padang from this 56-story viewpoint in the center of Marina Bay.

9. Singapore Sports Hub

Are you finding the television parade boring to watch? So what if it were on a big screen? The Singapore Sports Hub will host a live simulcast of the fireworks as part of its National Day Fiesta—not just on screen but up close along the Stadium Riverside Walk! It's better to arrive early because there will be goodies and bags to redeem!

10. Esplanade Waterfront

This 300-meter shoreline is the ideal location to see the fireworks, and it won't even cost you a dime! During the busiest holiday times, the waterfront is extremely crowded, so get there early to get a decent place.

11. Marina Bay Promontory

There will be breathtaking, unobstructed views of the fireworks display from the Marina Bay Promontory. The main drawback is that most people will naturally choose this, so arrive early. Either way, a crowd this size is bound to create a sense of excitement, so be sure to take in the festivities and see the National Day fireworks show.

12. Merlion Park

This is a fantastic option if you're not seeking an ultra-luxurious stake-out location. Settle in early; plenty of people will swarm this open area in search of the best, unobstructed views of the skyline. There's no better way to celebrate our independence than with the Merlion, the emblem of Singapore!

13. Marina Square Rooftop

There are plenty of walking paths and seating areas on the spacious rooftop. There are well-maintained plants and flowers; from there you can see the neighboring hotel, the Esplanade Theater, and the floating platform. This could be the best spot to experience the fireworks while your kids run about in the open air and enjoy some fresh air.

14. Fireworks at the Heartlands

The good news for those who enjoy fireworks but fear being stranded near Marina Bay and unable to leave without squeezing into the crowd is that Heartlands is a great place to watch fireworks! The fireworks display will extend to five heartland sites, including Jurong West Sports Centre, Woodlands Sports Centre, Toa Payoh Sports Centre, Bedok Sports Centre, and Our Tampines Hub. While details are limited for now, stay tuned for the updates!
