Cheers' new automated store at Our Tampines Hub, which is unmanned and accepts cashless payments, transports you to the future. This location is open 24 hours a day and stocks 295 food and beverage items. It does not sell cigarettes or alcoholic beverages.

Items removed from the shelves are tracked using an advanced artificial intelligence system, and customers can pay using the store's facial recognition technology.
Customers must, however, download the Cheers SG app and add their Visa account as the mode of payment before entering the store for the first time. They can then enter the store by using the app's facial recognition technology or scanning a unique QR code. Customers will be unable to enter the store unless they enter a mode of payment.

The store's ceiling is also dotted with cameras that use Artificial Intelligence to track human behaviour and detect theft. If a customer takes a product from the shelf, consumes it, and returns it to the shelf, the AI system will prevent the customer from entering the store again.
Furthermore, the Singaporean government has long advocated for the development of Singapore as a Smart Nation and the use of technology to keep Singapore competitive as a global city.
As a result, we can expect to see more of these stores spring up all over the nation.
